Supplemental Programs Student Policies
Attendance and Make-Ups
Students or Parents/Guardians must notify the school 48 hours in advance if a student is to miss class or schedule a make-up class. Students who are feeling sick are advised to stay at home until he/she is feeling better. No Credit/Refund will be given for missed classes. Each student will only be given the opportunity to make up 3 classes per quarter, no exceptions. Parents and students are also expected to be punctual. The schedules of the classes are fixed. Students must be in class 5 minutes before class starts for material preparation and parents should pick-up students from the school within 10 minutes after class is dismissed.
Make-Up Class System
SKA is introducing a new system for scheduling make-up classes! In order to make the process more convenient for parents and SKA staff we will be using an email system. From now on, if you would like to schedule a make-up class, you would simply need to go to the ‘Make Up Class Request’ tab on our website for instructions:
SKA would like to remind parents to promptly pick your child after class ends. We will be implementing a new policy to ensure the safety of your child. If you are 30 minutes late or longer, you will be subject to a fine!
Leaving the Premises
SKA is not held responsible for students who leave the SKA foyer without the permission of a parent/guardian. SKA will be there to remind students to wait for their parent/guardian, but SKA is not and will not be held responsible for student(s) who leave the SKA foyer without the permission of a parent/guardian. If any incidents were to occur to said student(s), SKA is not and will not be held liable.
Please refrain from parking at the curb by SKA. The area along the curb is a fire lane. Parking there is illegal and potentially dangerous due to the high traffic. Please utilize the parking spaces. SKA will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur outside.
By signing up for exhibitions, parent(s)/guardian(s) and student(s) agree to allow the artwork(s) of student(s) to be exhibited in any exhibition sponsored by SKA and not sponsored by SKA as listed to SKA's award and recognition page on the SKA web site. These exhibitions include, but are not limited to SKA Community Exhibitions. Furthermore, parent(s)/guardian(s) and student(s) hereby release SKA for loss or damage to artwork(s) with the understanding that every effort will be made to protect the artwork.
Please understand that these rules are enforced for the safety and well-being of all our students. As always, we thank you for choosing SKA to educate your child.
